BOOKKEEPER

We have an immediate opening for an experienced bookkeeper to contribute to the growth and success of Aurora North Software, Inc. This is a permanent full time position supporting our financial department with data entry, A/R, A/P, and general administration.

We provide the highest quality software services to the legal industry, including software products for intellectual property law firms throughout North America and Europe.

The ideal candidate would be hard working, detail oriented, have a strong ability to multitask, be goal driven, proficient with technology, possess excellent customer service skills and have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. If no degree, candidate would have 2-3 years’ experience. We are looking for an energetic, fun addition to the team who is willing to take ownership over their position and grow within our team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A/R – Invoicing (monthly creation, reviews, distribution to clients, and tracking)
  • A/R - Daily cash deposit data entry. Posting payments to customer accounts
  • A/P - Providing daily support for vendor data entry
  • Data entry into QuickBooks Software
  • Bank statement reconciliations
  • Credit Cards - Processing credit card payments and posting transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • General ledger reconciliation
  • Interfacing with payroll vendor for payroll processing
  • Produce and present profit and loss spreadsheets
  • Benefits Administration
  • Deposits and maintenance of retirement accounts
  • Human resource functions
  • Answering Telephone
  • Processing Mail
  • Scanning
  • Provide support to staff and executive management as needed.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Your skills and abilities will include bookkeeping, experience and competency with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks. You must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated and organized. Skills in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets are required as well as strong analytical and communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects, and a proven focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, significant experience with small to midsize firms is required and an Associates or Bachelor’s degree is desirable.

  • Obtaining the required information by utilizing internal resources to problem solve.
